Bastion Aviation Proudly Supports the Southern Cross Golf Day at Drakensig
We believe in supporting experiences that bring people together through community, connection, and a shared sense of adventure. On 9 May, we had the privilege of sponsoring both a four ball and Hole 18 at the Southern Cross Golf Day held at the beautiful Drakensig Golf Club.
With the sun shining and 72 golfers attending the day, the atmosphere was filled with energy, laughter, and friendly competition from start to finish. Southern Cross Schools, widely known as the bush school of Hoedspruit, continue to play an important role in the local community through their unique approach to education that embraces outdoor learning, environmental awareness, and personal growth. Bastion Aviation is proud to have supported an event that contributes to such a meaningful institution within the Hoedspruit community.
For the sponsorship, Bastion Aviation partnered with Safari Moon Luxury Bush Lodge
to create an unforgettable Hole 18 experience themed “You Have Landed, Welcome to the Wild.” Golfers arriving at the final hole were welcomed into a relaxed lounge space where they could enjoy refreshing cold drinks from Bastion Aviation and delicious snacks prepared by Safari Moon.
Each golfer received a custom designed boarding pass featuring exclusive discounts on Bastion scenic flights and a luxury stay at Safari Moon, creating a fun and engaging way to introduce guests to both brands and experiences.
One of the standout moments of the day was the Wild Shot Challenge, where golfers had to draw a random object to putt with instead of a golf club. From spades and baseball bats to braai tongs and miniature rakes, the challenge delivered plenty of entertainment and laughter throughout the afternoon. Guests also had the chance to win fun merchandise prizes and luxury lodge stays.
